Step One: Take off the battery cover and remove your AA's.
Step Two: Use a knife to cut out the third rail in the battery compartment. Cut it down all the way, top to bottom. Get as much plastic out as you can.
Step Three: Position a 9v battery in the chamber as shown. Make sure that the positive terminal of the 9v (The smaller one) is on the right.
Step Four: Take some of the pieces of plastic that you cut out of the chamber and use them as needed to push and hold the battery into a position where the battery has a good connection.
Step Five: Test the blaster by trying to rev the motors. If nothing happens, make sure you have a clip in the gun and that the jam door is closed. If that doesn't work, return to Step Four.
Step Six: Either put your battery cover back on (It will jut out a little bit as shown at left) or put a few strips of tape over the battery compartment to keep the batteries in.
There you have it! A quick, easy, no-fancy-tools-required voltage mod.
Next up in my Rayven series: 15v mod that does use a soldering iron. Stay tuned.
